Pig Out Barbeque & Smokehouse-Closed

This small bbq shop adjacent to a gas station has unfortunately closed. Here are a few notes about the ‘que:

Tenderness-

  • Ribs-They were out of ribs.
  • Shoulder-was moist and tender, but lacked enough bark.

Smoke-

  • Ribs-They were out of ribs.
  • Shoulder-Was slightly smoky. I would’ve enjoyed more smoke flavor, especially for a self-named smokehouse. The total combination of sauce, slaw and meat was good though.

Sauce-The flavor and consistency of the chunky bbq sauce resembled baked bean sauce, which surprisingly worked well with the pork.
